Well, Shiver me timbers...Linger a while won't you? This contest won't last Forever you know

Dear Mags (because that is what I'll call you when we're BFFs)

Can you believe I live "in The Middle Of Nowhere, VA" too?

I've thought about it a lot (and not in a stalkerish sort of way…really) you could be living right in my backyard (or maybe I live in your backyard? Who moved here first??).

Imagine my shock seeing you profiled in our local (i.e. small…like only published once a week small) newspaper! That's exactly how I pictured my author interview (except maybe with a higher resolution photo).

I have big plans for us backyard neighbors once we're BFFs, Maggers (Is that nickname too close to Maggots? Dang, 'cause I was kinda liking that one):

  1. Our Littles can run around the beach looking for sharks teeth and experience benign neglect together until they get all Lord of the Flies and we have to save our files and finally get up out of the hammocks.
  2. Our Hubbys can commiserate over a homebrew on what it's like to be married to a writer and otherwise insane person (oh, oops, my bad, maybe that's just our family).
  3. We'll debate the merits of Food Lion vs Giant when we both know that Wegmans kicks ass.
  4. See which of our dogs is the best chicken hunter.
  5. Discuss at length my phobia of driving over that two lane bridge to Maryland and if you also say "the bridge to nowhere" when you really mean the overpass to all the really big stores.
  6. Talk about the long drive into town and compare notes for the best places to pull over when you you get those awesomesauce ideas along the way. I am scary good at writing while driving (my eyes never leave the road, promise…and I can usually read 80% of what I've written).

See? Good times.

Oh, and I promised you that I'd include a trailer for your new book coming out this July (not that I need to do that in order to get any swag from you seeing as we're BFFs and all…seriously, that would be awkward, right?).

Right.

Your newest BFF,

Jenna

  2. :) Thank you very much Andrea!!! :)

I am in awe. She wrote the music, cut out the figures (probably did the stop-motion video too knowing her, which sadly, I don't) and even did the detailed decoration (with a Sharpie!!) on the guitar featured in the begining. Not to mention this YA book series is fantastic!!

    Oh, the pressure!!! ;-)
